Woke up about 4am this morning. Putting it down to jetlag. Seems to get better as the days go by. Left the hotel just before 7am and walked down to San Marco Piazza. Watched the sun rise over Venice which was beautiful. After that I walked back to the hotel to meet my family for breakfast. As I arrived back they rushed past me saying they had already had breakfast. Feeling somewhat confused I grabbed a coffee and a roll and made for the square.
Turns out they had forgotten to change their watches forward an hour. Hehe.
Met my nan at the square and off we went to visit Murano island. Walked up towards the Rialto bridge, where we found a great market. Lots of good things on sale there. Made our way up to the water bus dock and travelled across to murano island. Once there we watched a demonstration on how they blow the glass and the various ways they create the designs. It was amazing. While at the factory I bought some presents for my mom, namely a Murano Glass necklace in the shape of a flower, and a glass calligraphy pen.
After the glass factory we wandered into the main central area of Murano where there are some nice shops and restaurants. After looking around the muchies kicked in, so we found a nice looking restaurant and sat down. Had a Mozerella and Panini Chiabatta and a beer 
Was great. After that we made our way back to the Venice and had a pit stop at the hotel.
Later on we went out for dinner at a really nice restaurant. They had amazing food. We Just sat down and spoke about all sorts of things, mainly catching up on old times.
