I apologize in advance to everyone who reads this and has to put up with the long list of ramblings I’m about to put you through.
I setup a new site called http://familytree.nodeofcrash.com.
My mom has been doing research into the family Genealogy, and it’s quite amazing what she has come up with.
The site is familytree.nodeofcrash.com.
To view my moms side of the family, which is the Rood side, use this link for the easiest view:

It goes back to my Great x 5 Grandfather, Levy Rood. From the records we could find, it seems he moved the family from Holland to England towards the end of the 19th Century. Another interesting fact is the Rood family was Jewish, but on arriving in the UK, stopped attending Synagogue, and basically stopped being Jewish. Bit odd.
Though this Jewish connection, my mom discovered we have Jewish family currently living in Canada that are descended directly from Levy Rood. Amazing really. She contacted them and they kindly helped with bits of information regarding what they had found.
She also found that my Great x 4 Grandmother we are directly descended from is a Leary and is Irish. Amazing really, considering my dad is Irish.
Needs a bit more work, but it’s starting to look good.
Other than that I’ve been working like a demon and trying to get everything done asap. As is normal I guess.
My mom and bro left on their overseas holiday yesterday. Flying to Singapore, South Africe and Egypt. The SA part is to visit family, the rest is for a holiday. My brother used a free internet terminal in Singapore Airport to IM me in gmail… show off :p
They should be landing in South Africa soon, as I’m typing this.
I also bought myself a new distortion pedal for my guitar. Cost me $199 shipped. Considering the retail price in Adelaide is $299, I think I got a bargain. Bought it off ebay.
In fact it’s the first time I’ve bought on ebay.
Here’s what ti looks like…

It’s truly amazing. I was so impressed with what it could do.
Well, thats all for now
